Farming Simulator 22 is a lot of fun, and there’s a lot to do. Especially one thing you can never have in the game – no, not cows, but money! While your seed capital to start a life on the land is relatively high, buildings, machinery, and other expenses are numerous, and the money runs out quickly.
If you decide to break the game and scam you out of your money, there are four easy ways to do it. This guide will walk you through all four variants in detail.
Possibility one: edit your archive
You’ll need a save game for the first variant, which should be the last hurdle. You can usually find it under the following path on your system:
C:\Users*your username*\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022
Inside, you’ll find a corresponding numbered folder for each saved game, i.e., savegame1, savegame2, etc. – the order depends on the in-game structure in the game loading menu. So if you’re not sure which save to edit, check out the game again.
In this folder, you can open the file farms.xml with Windows Notepad or another text editor. There you will find the entry money=… in the third line, as shown in the image below:
You can easily change this value to any amount you need. Then save and restart the game – done!
Possibility 2: Console command
The second option is a bit more complicated but allows you to change your account balance while the game is running. So the extra tedious work is worth it.
First, you navigate to a well-known path on your system:
C:\Users*your username*\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022
There you can find and open the file game.xml. where you look for entries
false and change false to true.
From here, the procedure will be different:
For Steam version owners:
Then save and open Steam. Right-clicking on an entry in the library opens a window with more options. You’ll find the Startup options section under General at the bottom of the right pane. In this field, you only need to enter -cheats.
For retail edition owners:
Navigate to your LS22 installation directory and right-click FarmingSimulator22.exe. There you point your mouse pointer to Send to, and in the submenu that opens, go to Desktop (create a shortcut).
The newly created shortcut is now on your desktop. Again, right-click and go to Properties. In the window that opens, switch to the Links tab. In the target field, scroll to the right until the cursor ends. There you add a -cheats. It should look like this example:

From here, we proceed to do the same for both variants:
Start the LS22 and load your save. You can now use the ~ key to open the console in games. For example, if you want to deposit an extra EUR 100,000 in your virtual account, enter:
gsMoneyAdd 100000
Confirm the command again with the ~ key. Pressing the button a third time will turn the console off again. To withdraw money, add a minus sign before the amount.
Possibility three: LS22 power tool
The third way to cheat your money shouldn’t be new to series veterans. Thanks to power tools, some quality of life improvements have been added to the game, which also allows you to add any money.
The script can be downloaded from the Cornhub fansite. In addition to money cheats, you can activate and deactivate superpowers, airplane mode, or the UI. In addition, all purchase prices are reduced to zero euros, and routine maintenance costs for your facilities and machines are suspended.
Possibility Four: Money Tools
The name of the fourth and last option already suggests that the tool is all about money. You can download the tools that have been available since Farming Simulator 2017 from the mod site Farming-Simulator.com.
After downloading, unzip the ZIP file into the mod directory of your LS22 installation. The full path is:
C:\Users*your username*\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022\mods
You can then mutate into a Scrooge McDuck in-game with a few simple hotkeys: CTRL+ALT+9 or CTRL+ALT+0 (in a vehicle) will increase your fortune by €1,000,000.
